Full Description:
Coral Springs just passed its 42nd anniversary. Have you ever wondered what was here before 1963? You can catch a glimpse of it in the Historical Coral Springs display case at the entry to the Center for the Arts. The new exhibit entitled “From a Hill of Beans” includes aerial images of the land, when it was one big bean field, its early development and future plan. There is also a model of the building now under construction and the southeast corner of University Drive and W. Sample Road.
A new exhibit has been installed at the Northwest Regional Library in the display case near the CD’s. “Souvenirs Through The Years” shows some of the myriad of mementoes made to commemorate various anniversaries and events in the City.
These exhibits will be on display until November. At that time “Marjory Stoneman-Douglas: One Woman, The Everglades & The Rest Is History” will be inaugurated at the sites above and the Museum of Coral Springs History, in Mullins Park. There is an video and lecture series in conjunction with the display. Information with specific dates and events will follow.
