FORT LAUDERDALE COUPLE SURVIVES ATTACK BY A THOUSANDS OF BEES
Full Description:
Thousands of feisty bees that had surreptitiously built a large hive in a backyard tree stump swarmed and attacked a young couple, a pet husky and the firefighters who tried to help them Tuesday afternoon.
The couple ran from the yard behind the house in the 1500 block of North Dixie Highway and found shelter in a car, but the dog sought cover in the home's garage, where it got stuck under a cage, said Stephen McInerny, assistant chief for Fort Lauderdale Fire-Rescue.
