Don't be alarmed this holiday season to see more crime fighters outside the mall, store or even your house.
About 25 Broward Sheriff's Office deputies are patrolling those areas by bicycle to scare off bad guys. They especially want to knuckle-down in Cresthaven, Highlands and Avondale -- neighborhoods that have experienced increased thefts and break-ins during past holidays.
