MHOC Art At The Library
Full Description:
Mary Help of Christians Catholic School’s “Boat Show” is going to set sail at the Parkland Library. The exhibit will run from February 11th through March 11th. Students in Kindergarten through the eighth grade have been assembling their boat creations out of various mediums, including recycled materials, copper foil, watercolor, and glitter. The students have designed and named their boats after their favorite movie. Entries include popular movies such as Ironman, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, and Kung Fu Panda. The inspiration for the idea was the brainstorm of Barbara Freiberg, the art teacher at Mary Help of Christians, who borrowed the movie theme from a prior Fort Lauderdale Winterfest Boat Parade. There will be more than 60 boats on display.
